International Medical Experts to Speak at Qatar Health 2010

Organized by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar Health 2010 will showcase advances in healthcare research and technology, and provide an international medical forum for the exchange of expertise by healthcare professionals to be held at Doha Exhibition Centre December 10 to 15.
Among the list of world class speakers, HMC has confirmed Professor Gregory L Henry MD, FACEP who has elected to lecture at Qatar Health 2010 this coming December. Prof. Henry is an American emergency specialty physician, who is currently staffing several hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

He will be one of the key speakers in the Emergency Medicine and Disaster Track at the Scientific Congress which is held jointly with the Qatar Health Expo.
Dr Abdul Wahab Al Musleh, Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at HMC and Vice Chairman of the Conference, said after the success of last year's event that Qatar Health 2010 had again attracted high profile and greatly respected medical professionals.
"Qatar Health 2010 is the most exciting medical event of the year for the region; it will provide an international forum for delegates to learn about the latest scientific research as well as developments in major health related technologies. Attendees will also be able to evaluate the latest medical devices and technologies at first hand," Dr Al Musleh said. "To have speakers of the caliber of Dr Henry attending the event and sharing his findings and experience is a great honor and one that will enable medicine in Qatar and the Middle East keep pace with our international colleagues."
Prof. Henry has authored numerous articles and books throughout his career. Currently, he is a consultant/reviewer for the ACEP publication, Annals of Emergency Medicine, and has also reviewed for other major journals in emergency medicine. He is on the editorial board of the publication ED Management. He is the author of several books on neurological disease and risk management in emergency medicine, as well as over 70 textbook chapters and articles on various aspects of emergency care. Prof. Henry is a frequent lecturer on topics concerning health policy, risk management, neurological disease and pain management and has lectured at over 97 residency programs in emergency medicine, to over 140,000 emergency physicians. He is the winner of the first ACEP Outstanding Speaker of the Year Award (1998 -1999).
There are 15 tracks, attracting international speakers, for the Scientific Congress; other tracks to be covered at the Congress include: Radiology, Dermatology, Anesthesia, Plastic Surgery and Pediatric Emergency
Qatar Health 2010 will be held at the Doha International Exhibition Center and will be attended by:
